At Christmas, many people turn a blind-eye to breaking copyright law by performing songs that still belong to someone without having the proper permission or performance license.
But if you are performing somewhere that this isn't possible, then these carols are for you. You can sing them anywhere, any-time, free of charge, without any hassles from music or performance rights organisations. (You just need to make sure that you use the original tune, not a a modern adaptation.)
